Using the ebook collections at WOU.

  • For Kindle models other than the Fire tablet series, you will need to create PDF files of the chapters/ranges you need and either transfer them to your Kindle via USB or send them to your Kindle email address (e.g. jon.doe@kindle.com). You may need to adjust the contrast and screen orientation on your kindle for better readability.
  • The Kindle Fire series are the only Kindle models that will allow you to download full books in ADE format from our eBook collections.
    • Use these instructions on how to install Aldiko Book Reader on a Kindle Fire,
      1. The first time you use Aldiko it will prompt you for Authorization: 
        • Login using your Adobe ID (free). If you don’t have one or don’t remember it, click “Get Adobe ID” to sign up or have credentials emailed to you from within the app.
      2.  Find the eBook in our collection.
      3. Sign in to ebrary, EBL or EBSCO: For ebrary or EBL ebooks, use your WOU Pawprint.  For EBSCO ebooks, use your My EBSCOhost account.
      4. Download the book. You will be prompted to open it with Aldiko.
