To find magazine articles (written for the general public) where additional time has passed to allow for more in-depth reporting and scholarly articles where experts have had time to evaluate an issue, use the following library databases.  Two key tips here -- after you enter in your search terms to you can limit by magazine or scholarly articles and you can limit by date.

HEALTH CONSUMER EDITION 
Provides access to consumer health magazines, health-related pamphlets, health reference books, drug entries, and patient education fact sheets.

 

HEALTH SOURCE: NURSING/ACADEMIC EDITION 
This database provides strong journal article coverage in the fields of nursing and allied health.

 

ACADEMIC SEARCH PREMIER 
A multi-disciplinary database that provides citations and full-text for articles published in nearly 4,500 journals, including more than 3,700 peer-reviewed titles.
