  Library Databases

Selected databases related to Rehabilitation Counseling:

Education Full Text and ERIC provides has articles relating to teaching and education published since 1995. Also includes citations and full text from the ERIC database (which include curricula, reports, standards, and other unpublished materials addressing topics in education). 

This will show you how to use Educational Full Text.

Psych INFO has academic journal articles covering psychology and the psychological aspects of related fields such as medicine, psychiatry, nursing, sociology, education, pharmacology, physiology, linguistics, anthropology, business, law and others.

Google Scholar has academic articles and books (note--this does not search websites) Articles not available for free or through Find it at WOU can be orderd through Interlibrary Loan

Medline contains a broad range of medical topics relating to research, clinical practice, administration, policy issues, and health care services. Produced by the U.S. National Library of Medicine.

Sociological Abstracts provides journal articles, conference papers, book chapters, and book abstracts for the international scholarly literature in sociology and related disciplines.

Mental Measurements Yearbook contains full-text reviews and information about English-language standardized tests covering educational skills, personality, vocational aptitude, psychology, and related areas as included in the print Mental Measurements Yearbooks. Each record includes an overview of the test, a description of the test materials and time needed, and one or more reviews of the test.

Articles from a Reference Page

 
After you have found a few articles that you think you will use, look at the reference page of those articles. 
You will likely find a source or two from here that you can use. 

This will show you how to find articles and books from a reference page.  

Cited By and Related Articles from Google Scholar

 
Look up article you have found in Google Scholar to find Cited By articles (other articles that have used the articles you found in their own reference page) and Related articles (articles related to an article you found).

Note -- Google Scholar is not the same as Google. Google Scholar is a collection of scholarly articles unlike Google which displays web pages.
