WOU Writing Center
The Writing Center is the only service unit on campus specifically designed to promote your development and success as a college writer. The consultant team is available to assist you both in person and online with writing projects for any course and any level of instruction.

- Think of a topic that interests you. Can you turn it into a research paper?
- Ask friends, classmates & your instructor
- Scan news sources (in print or online) for ideas

in Oregon and Washington.
You may request items from Summit. They will be sent to
the WOU Library for you to checkout. Books from SUMMIT
take 5-7 business days to arrive.

Articles and Databases

WOU has a variety of databases covering multiple subjects and disciplines.
Academic Search Premier is a good starting point. It has newspapers, magazines, and academic articles on many topics.
To find other databases for your topic:
- Go to the library web site www.wou.edu/library
- Under Find Information: Select Articles & Databases
- Look for databases related to your topic in the By Subject section on the right side of the screen
EasyBib
EasyBib is an automatic citation & bibliography composer for APA, MLA, and Chicago/Turabian styles.
EasyBib is also available from the library home page under My Accounts.
If you are not using a citation composer yet, choose EasyBib rather than NoodleBib, as we are phasing that one out.
