Your WOU librarians have designed this library research activity to introduce you to the library resources while learning some helpful research skills. These resources and skills can be used while working on your coursework and completing your action research, professional, and thesis projects.
There are three parts to the activity -- each with a worksheet to download and complete. The worksheets are set up as fillable forms that you can type in your answers and save.
Part 1 - Using the Library and Helpful Research Skills is a guided notes activity. Download the worksheet then go through the lesson and fill it out as you go along. This is designed so that you will have a handout to refer back to when you are doing your research.
Part 2 - Research Activity is a practice activity and a guided search letting you try out the various library resources and research techniques covered in Part 1. Download the worksheet and follow the prompts.
Part 3 - Follow Up Questions is to be completed after you have done Part 1 and Part 2 and will be a space you can pose any questions you would like me to provide more information or go into more depth when we meet virtually on June 30th.
Office 365 - is free to WOU students. These are the directions for signing up to access programs like Word, PowerPoint, and Excel to be used as a cloud computing option or installed to your computer.
