Statement from the Northwest Print Council as part of this portfolio:
The Northwest Print Council is a nonprofit organization of professional printmakers, dedicated to promoting the practice and appreciation of printmaking.
Founded in 1981, the Council includes artists from the states of Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington; and from the provinces of Alberta and British Columbia.
This portfolio of prints is a project by the members of the Council's board of directors.
The editions have been printed by the individual artists.
The paper for the typographic pages has been hand made of cotton rag fiber by Margaret Prentice.
The type is Spectrum, hand set and printed by John Laursen at Press-22.
The portfolio case has been designated and constructed by Sandy Tilcock.
Production has been coordinated by Christy Wyckoff.
