Scenario 4: Interlibrary Loan (ILL) request

Note: As many of our lending library partners are closed and practicing social distancing measures many print based article resources may have limited availability through interlibrary loan. Requests can take longer than usual and may be denied.

...notes that we don’t have any immediate access to the article but that you can request it through Interlibrary Loan. Articles typically take 2-3 days for delivery, and we send them to your WOU email account as a PDF document.  The library budgets for Interlibrary Loan use, and we encourage your active yet purposeful use of the service.  We ask you to

  1. Read the abstract of articles to determine if they suit your needs before requesting them.
  2. Be considerate of the research needs of fellow students, faculty, and staff in your use of the Interlibrary Loan service.
  3. Cancel the request if you decide you don’t need the article before it arrives.
