- Academic Search Premier has newspapers, magazines, and academic articles.
- CQ Researcher provides reports that examine contemporary social and political issues. These in-depth reports cover a single topic and include a background history of the topic, pro-con viewpoints, as well as maps, charts, and graphs.
- Academic OneFile has newspapers, magazines, and academic articles on many topics.
- For education-related topics, try ERIC, which has articles and reports on topics including adult education, continuing education, literacy standards, multicultural education, secondary education, teaching methods and much more.

- Go to the library web site library.wou.edu
- Click the white box underneath the main search form that says "Article & Research Databases"
- Choose your subject from the "Databases By Subject" pull-down menu in the lower-right of the page
