Category II – Professional Travel to Conference: Workshop / Attendee Only and Professional Development

Eligibility:
- Individuals seeking funding to attend conferences and professional workshops. These proposals relate to professional activities that enhance one or all of the following:
a) your teaching
b) your knowledge or skill in your field of study
c) the potential impact on the academic environment at WOU and the extended community
Award Limits:
- Category II Travel funding will not exceed $1,125 total for one or more conferences/professional development activities, pending final budget. Faculty can apply this full amount to one conference, or they can spread it among several less costly conferences (more info here). However, awards may be less than the full amount of $1,125 if the budget of the committee necessitates it.
- Requests for Professional Travel to Conference: Workshop – Attendee Only and/or Professional Development activities may be submitted at any time. The application will be considered at the next Committee meeting where travel funds are awarded.
