These databases help you find articles published in scholarly journals, newspapers, magazines, and on radio programs. The articles provide in-depth coverage on a wide variety of topics.
Encyclopedias are a great way to get an overview of a topic and to gather terminology and ideas for deeper research. Below are a few examples in Hamersly Library's collection of subject encyclopedias.
To find a relevant encyclopedia, search Primo for "encyclopedia" plus a keyword for your topic.
Sometimes you need to think of a broader context which deals with your topic. For example, a topic of "identity" might be too narrow to have a encyclopedia about it specifically. Broaden the search to "encyclopedia sociology" or to "encyclopedia psychology."
