How to get a print book

Often WOU will have immediate access to the electronic edition of a book, but perhaps you want to trade in the convenience for the focus you can get with a print book. Here's how to make that happen:

  1. Open the Details tab of the ebook record.
  2. Click on the Author's name.
  3. From the list of author's works, find the title you want with the book (not ebook) format.
  4. Click on the Get It tab and then Request Item (about 5 days) to initiate a Summit loan.

Subject Terminology to Try

This is a list of some Library of Congress Subject Headings and common subheadings that are relevant to this class. Search for these as keywords in Primo.  You can mix and match, remembering to combine similar concepts together with "OR."  Ex. women OR femin* OR girls

If you want to extend your search beyond Primo (the Summit libraries), use the same search terms in WorldCat and order through Interlibrary Loan.

Square brackets indicate that this is an example that you can modify with a parallel geographic area, group name, or adjective.  Ex. [Algeria] Politics and Government: replace with your country of interest; [France] Colonies: replace with Netherlands Colonies.
