Openly Available Sources Integrated Search (OASIS) is a search tool that aims to make the discovery of open content easier. OASIS currently searches open content from 98 different sources.
Managed by the George Mason University this tool searches across 22 different popular open source collections. Due to the federated search, results will take longer, but provide up to date and relevant information.
Open textbooks are free, online learning materials with Creative Commons licenses. Many of the collections will have links to the same books, but each will have a particular focus, and items you can't find in other collections.
OER repositories contain more than just open textbooks, they are collections created at institutions and by organizations to house, and make easily searchable learning materials, includeing full courses, syllabi, images, presentations, videos, simulations, and many more.
The sources listed here have images and photos that can be downloaded for free with no or limited restrictions. To learn how to attribute openly licensed images go to Creative Commons' Best Practices for Attribution webpage.
