Course Reserves

Placing Materials on Course Reserve

To place materials on reserve:

  • Materials from Hamersly Library's collection: Provide the title and call number. Items acquired through Summit or Interlibrary Loan are not eligible to be on reserve.
  • Personally-owned items: Bring materials to the Checkout Desk. Items must be legitimate copies, either commercially produced or something to which you have copyright.

All materials must be submitted with a Reserve Request Form

Alternate versions of the form:

Student Access to Course Reserves

Traditional materials (such as books and videos) placed on reserve for classes are held at the Checkout Desk. Reserve items can be checked out for various lengths of time as determined by the faculty member who submitted the reserve request.

Finding Course Reserves

The most reliable ways to see if a text is on course reserve is to search on the library homepage and:

  1. Set the search filter to 'Course Reserves'
  2. Enter either the book title, or course abbreviation and number (e.g. HST 101)

Accessing Course Reserves

In order to access a physical course reserve, you'll need to provide the Checkout Desk employee with the item's call number, which you can find by searching for the item in the library catalog

You need your WOU ID to checkout any course reserves
