Basic Formatting

Journal Articles

Author1 (last name inverted), Author2 (including fullsurname, last name is not inverted), and Author3. Year of publication. "Title of Article." Name of publication (italicized) Volume Number(Issue Number):page numbers of article.

Additional Guidelines

  • List all references in alphabetical order.
  • Include first names and last names for all authors/editors.
  • Do not use ampersand (&) for and in joining names.
  • For repeated authors or editors, arrange references for the same single author from earliest to latest.
  • If no date is available, use n.d. in place of the date.
