DMC

Digital Media Center

The mission of the Digital Media Center (DMC), located in the northeast corner of the second floor of Hamersly Library, is to enhance the Western Oregon University educational experience by offering the tools and support for students, faculty, and staff to create their own digital media. Whether for video or audio production, desktop design, website creation, media conversion, scanning, or CD/DVD duplication, the DMC offers the campus community an array of specialized equipment in a comfortable and friendly environment  All equipment is available for self-service all the hours the library is open.

We also offer two bookable Digital Production Rooms (HL 221 & 222), as well as drop-in technology tutoring hours.  (Please see Computing Services for technical support.)  Faculty and staff needing training may also wish to contact Scott Carter, the library's Digital Production & Publishing Specialist. In addition to overseeing the DMC, Scott provides one-on-one and group training on a variety of topics, including Web pages, digital video, and desktop design.

Please Note: Equipment checkout is now handled at the front checkout desk of Hamersly Library.
